Frankie goes to the Farm

  Frankie Goes To The Farm

“Are we there yet?” said Frankie.   “No” said Kylie.  “We are still 2 nights away from Saskatchewan”.  Frankie, her sister Kylie, her mom Barb and Uncle Rod were on their way to Saskatchewan to visit their aunt’s new farm.
“I have to go pee” said Barb from the front seat. “Ok I guess we can stop at the gas station” said Uncle Rod.
When they got to the gas station Kylie ran up to the first tree stump she saw and went pee. Then Uncle Rod put Kylie back in the trailer so she wouldn’t run away. As Barb and Uncle Rod went into the gas station the trailer started to roll away, Frankie was so scared she peed on the carpet. “Oh no” screamed Barb.
Uncle Rod ran after the trailer.  When he caught up to it he opened the door and jumped in. At this point  the trailer was halfway down the hill. Uncle Rod turned the trailer on and stepped on the brake. Frankie and her bed went flying across the trailer. Her wheels fell off.   Uncle Rod knew he would be in trouble with Barb so he tried to put them back on.  As he was fixing them Barb ran up to the  trailer to see if Frankie was ok.
When Barb saw that Frankie’s wheels had fallen off she ran up to Frankie and gave her a huge kiss. When Uncle Rod told her what happened, Barb forgave Uncle Rod. Until they drove up to the camp ground no one said a word. Finally Barb said “You know that I’m not mad at you”.   When they got to the camp site Barb went to go make dinner while Uncle Rod set up the tent. In the meantime Kylie and Frankie were playing in the thick long grass.
Mr. Claire and Mrs. Bob, the dreaded pet nappers from across the street, saw the dogs and thought they would be great pets to sell for money. So they snuck up behind a tree and snatched Kylie.   When Frankie came to look for Kylie, she got grabbed by an old fishing net that smelled of rotten squid.   “Ewe, this stinks!” Frankie said squealing.  “Shhhh!” said Mr. Claire.  “Grrrrrrrrrrr” Kylie and Frankie growled.
Mean while Barb came out to call the two dog for dinner but she but  she didn’t see them.   “Frankie,Kylie come here!”she yelled.   “Bark Yelp Yip.” Kylie said.
“Where are you?” Barb yelled.  “Help us” said Kylie but Barb couldn’t understand her but she heard her.    Barb ran after Frankie and Kylie in the direction of their voices. When Barb got them it was to late. Barb was shoved into the van of Mr.Claire and Mrs. Bob.
“I hope we get home safely”  said Barb in the back of the van.   Frankie came up to Barb and gave her a big kiss.  “Slurp!”   After a while the van came to a sudden stop.  The back door of the van flew open.  Barb took Kylie by the collar and put Frankie in her arms and ran back to the campsite.
Meanwhile Uncle Rod was unpacking all the sleeping bags  “I wonder where Barb and the dogs are?’ he muttered to himself.    “I’d better go look for them.”
Barb got back before Uncle Rod found out they where gone. During dinner Barb told Uncle Rod what happened. After the dogs went to bed they decided not to go to Saskatchewan.   “So many tragic things are happening” said Barb.    So they e-mailed Aunt Lucie in Saskatchwan.

“Dear Lucie:   We are really sorry because we can’t make it to Saskatchewan.  We have had a series of unfortunate events happen. We are in Stony Plane Alberta.   We will be home tomorrow.    We  would  like the dogs to see some farm life, so If it is possible, please visit us and bring 1 horse, 2 pigs, 3 milk cows and 4 big bad bulls. We would  like to surpise the dogs.    Sincerely  Barb  and  Uncle Rod”

Frankie woke up as Barb was packing. she wheeled out of the tent  and nudged Barbs leg.  Barb picked her up and walked her to the tent. Frankie went back to sleep.
In the morning when everybody got in the trailer and drove away.   Frankie asked Kylie something “Where are we going?”    “I don’t know” Kylie replied.   As they were driving a bump just appeared out of nowhere, and then there were more.   “That’s it!” yelled Uncle Rod “I’ve had enough!”   “I’m getting out to see whats out there!!!!!!” he yelled angrily.  Uncle Rod looked around and came back to the car.  He said “It’s just mud!’’   They all laughed.

As they were having this new tough time, Auntie Lucie replied to their email.
“Dear “Uncle Rod and Barb,   I feel sorry for all the bad stuff that happened. I’ll be sure to come and visit but my ride will be only be able to hold  300 pounds. I’ll be able to bring 1 horses,  2 pigs, 3 milk cows and 1 bull plus a sheep.   Aunt Lucie”

When Barb Got the message she decided not to tell the dogs, she wanted to surprise them.  So they all jumped in the trailor and drove home! When they were halfway there,  they stopped for lunch.  Frankie got doggy kibbles and shared it with Kylie and Barb gave them a cherry each.   After lunch Frankie and Kylie had a nap and Uncle Rod had a break from driving. Barb was driving very carefully because it was raining outside.
When Frankie woke up she was in her own bed!  She thought it was very strange so she woke up Kylie.   They heard a strange noise outside. The dogs went out to the front porch and saw the barn animals!   She raced into the house and gave Barb a big SLURP to say thank you to her! :)
